Vastcare Medical Clinic offers telemedicine appointments that provide our patients the opportunity to continue their healthcare with our Providers using their online resources through their computers or phones. We accept most insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicare.

Brief Bio
Dr. Stella O. Akpuaka is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice in the states of Maryland and Washington, DC. She has more than twenty-eight years of clinical practice experience. She is very compassionate and very effective in meeting the healthcare needs of her patients. She is very warm and a good listener. She believes in patient-centered care which includes enlightening and involving patients in their care. She provides safe and effective healthcare that is culturally sensitive, respectful of, and responsive to, individual patient likings, desires and beliefs, and ensuring that patient values are considered in the patients’ health decisions.
Dr. Stella Akpuaka graduated with an Master of Science in from Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) Baltimore; a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Carlow University Pittsburgh, PA, Family Nurse Practitioner from Coppin State University, Baltimore, Maryland and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Washburn University, Topeka, KS.
