Medical Cannabis uses the marijuana plant or the chemicals in it to treat certain diseases and health conditions. VMC has “Certifying Providers” with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission for writing certifications for medical cannabis to patients for treatment of qualifying medical conditions.

If you are a Maryland resident and your primary healthcare provider recommends medical cannabis as a treatment option for a qualifying medical condition, you must register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) as a patient. Complete and submit the online application form on the MMCC website.

Medical records are required to authenticate/document your qualifying conditions for all initial certifications, as well as any re-certification for medical cannabis. A referral form may be completed, signed, and faxed to Vastcare Medical Clinic, (VMC) LLC, (301-708-0101) by your primary care provider.

We would also like to inform all patients that possession of a medical cannabis certificate is an automatic disqualifier for interstate commercial driving, as statedin the Department of Transportation (DOT) health certificate. This will make your interstate commercial driving void.

VMC providers do not provide medical cannabis certification to any patient who has a history of multiple drug abuse, a history of drug arrests, or who has a commercial driver’s license, pilot’s license, or captain’s license.
